Year 6 enter amazing Minecraft World

Year 6 have started an incredible new literary project thanks to Seven Stories – and Minecraft!

The class has started to dive into legendary local author David Almond’s book ‘The Boy Who Climbed Into The Moon’ with the help of the computer game.

The Byker Wall has been constructed in Minecraft, along with a large part of Newcastle, including the Millennium Bridge, so children are able to follow the exact steps the book’s hero Paul takes in 3D.

They have also been set a series of tasks to complete on ipads leant to the school for each session by Seven Stories –  who are also delivering Zoom sessions to explain the project and the game.

Unsurprisingly Year 6 have been delighted to take part and can’t wait for the next part to be revealed!
