Amazing Lake District Adventure

Year 6 had an incredible 3 days in the glorious Lake District sunshine – challenging themselves with all sorts of different activities.

The children were a real credit to their families and school with staff regularly being told by other walkers and adults that the youngsters were amazingly behaved and polite.

The trip was based around the beautiful Borrowdale Valley, where the hill climb, rock climbing and river scrambling took place, whilst canoeing took place on the majestic Derwent Water.

For many it was the first time away from home and they all coped incredibly well, especially when faced by activities they found difficult.

Not one person gave less than 100% in everything they did, with everyone managing to complete something they thought was going to be too hard for them.

Year 6 visibly grew during the three days away and came back more mature and ready to tackle whatever the academic year can throw at them.
