Year 6 had a very informative lesson from School Health Support Worker Michelle about the dangers of smoking.
We heard how children when they leave primary school and head to high school are very often given the chance to smoke for the first time by friends or acquaintances.
Michelle explained all of the reasons we should say no from smelly breath to the horrific diseases that smoking causes.
She also reminded of the horrendous cost – around £4,000 a year.
Year 6 were very clear that nobody wanted to smoke and there were much better and healthier ways of spending our money.
