Basketball Stars!

Our Year 6 children had a wonderful evening at the Newcastle Eagles v London Lions basketball match at Sport Central on Friday 13 October. We played four group matches against Walkergate, Welbeck, Byker B and West Walker and managed to win them all, improving with each match. We then took part in the final against Byker A at half time in the Eagles match and performed admirably in front of a packed arena and finished runners up. Our children all got a tremendous amount out of the event, playing with great skill and spirit throughout and I could tell our parents were really proud of them. Well done boys and girls!
