Chicks

Last week Reception class had a special delivery of eggs from the ‘Living Egg’ Project. The eggs were kept in an incubator until we welcomed six chicks to our class!

The children have observed the changes in the chicks carefully and supported them in their knowledge and understanding of the life cycle of a chicken, which they have demonstrated in work they have completed in their play such as art and writing:

The children have all helped to look after the chicks and have impressed us with how gentle and caring they are towards the chicks.
