Cultural Day

On Thursday 19 June, we celebrated Refugee Week with a Cultural Day.

Volunteers led workshops in the hall about Korea, Greece and Egypt. Pupils learnt how to create Korean origami games, wrote in Korean script, wrote messages using the Greek alphabet and learnt about Ancient Egypt.

In classrooms, pupils explored the different cultures represented across school. This included flags, traditional dress, games and food!

Lots of pupils came to school in traditional dress, which was lovely to see.

It was successful, we will be making it an annual event.
