It’s a fishy business!

Year 6 enjoyed studying a sea-life topic in the Summer Term.  We researched different types of sea-creatures and used this to write up a report.  After that, we travelled by Metro to visit the Blue Reef Aquarium in Tynemouth.  We engaged in two workshops: Rock Pool Encounter and Sharks. We also watched a Seal Show…thankfully, we didn’t get wet!

The following day, Julie from the Shipley Art Gallery, came to our classroom and supported us to develop some art work based on sea creatures.  We explored different media, such as, water colours and oil pastels, then combined these techniques to create a multi media piece of Art.
