Nursery Stay and Play Mother’s Day Celebration

Last week it was lovely to be able to welcome our parents back into Nursery for our first Stay and Play session since Covid began! We decided to also make it a celebration for Mother’s Day. The children loved having their mams and dads come to play with them at Nursery and they enjoyed showing them all of the work they have done so far in their learning journal books. The children had previously painted pictures of their Mammies and talked about why they are special to them, which we made into a special book called ‘I Love My Mammy Because…’ During the session we read the book to our families and performed a special song for them. Each child then presented their parent with a card that they had made and a flower. Thank you to everybody who joined us, It was such a lovely day and so beneficial to the children!
