Road Safety in Year 3!

Today we got into two teams: for and against, and did our very first debate. As it is safety week, we decided to debate about road safety. We had to think of reasons either for or against and voiced them to the opposition, thinking about, should children be allowed to walk to school on their own? All children really enjoyed this activity! We also discussed the Green Cross Code and thought about Thinking, Stopping, Looking, Listening, Waiting and Walking, easy step by step safe instructions for crossing a busy road.
