Year 2 Visit Byker Library

Year 2 have been reading ‘Luna Loves Library Day’ by Joseph Coelho so it was a must that they visit Byker Library! Alina, the librarian, read us the book, ‘Luna Loves to Dance’. We then split into groups – some of us browsed and read the books, another group did a treasure hunt looking for pictures around the library and the last group were shown how to borrow library books using the self-service scanner. Sandy took us through the process and, when we return to school, we are going to write a set of instructions on how to use the machine for others.
