Year 4 Shipbuilding with the Discovery Museum

As part of our Humanities module ‘Changing Jobs’ Year 4 took part in a Zoom workshop with the Discovery Museum about Shipbuilding on the River Tyne.

We learned all about the different parts of a ship…

Heard the sounds of a shipyard…

Had a go at being a Riveter (this is Mr Moore’s try).

And learned why ships aren’t built on the Tyne today…
