African Print workshop from the Laing Art Gallery

We had a creative morning workshop with an artist from the Laing Art Gallery. We worked closely with the artist; learning new artistic skills crucial to creating print inspired by Thomas Bewick’s designs. We took inspiration from African emblems, creating our own design and transferring it to make a stamp like print. These prints are used in African clothing and decoration.
