Autumn Writing in Reception

This week, our Reception children truly impressed us with their phonics skills and lovely writing!

As part of our autumn theme, the children explored seasonal objects like leaves, conkers, and pinecones, and used their phonics knowledge to identify and record the initial sounds of each one. It was wonderful to see them confidently writing sounds like l for leaf and c for conker.

We’ve also been working hard on:

• Pencil grip

• Pressure control
