Inspired by cave paintings from the Stone Age, Year 3 have enjoyed creating Prehistoric art. They began by drawing the outline of an animal using charcoal. Next, they created a Prehistoric palette by making paints out of natural materials such as grass, leaves, mud, tea, beetroot and raspberries. Finally, they used the palette to paint their animals.
Year 3 have also brought their learning in History to life by playing ‘The Stone Age’ at break and lunch times. They have created a campfire and acted as hunter-gatherers.
