<p>Year 2 continue to work very hard whilst they are at home. This week the class were asked to complete some activities related to the celebration of 75th Anniversary of VE Day. The children made bunting to hang up in their houses and gardens. They also designed VE day menus for a VE celebration meal [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Year 2 have continued to work really hard during their time at home and they have been sending in some lovely photographs. <p>&nbsp; Year 2 boys and girls have been making some lovely Easter crafts whilst they have been at home. What creative children we have in Year 2! Happy Easter to all at St Lawrence&#8217;s From Mrs Hagon and Year 2 &nbsp;</p>

<p>Year 6 were incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to see &#8216;Holes&#8217; at the Theatre Royal in Newcastle. This is the text we have been studying this term. <p>As part of our music curriculum this term, we have been focusing on the work of Lin-Manuel Miranda, in particular his use of Hip-Hop music in his musicals, Hamilton and In the Heights. <p>Yesterday we began our new RE topic, Listening and Sharing. To explore our topic, we read and used drama to act out the story of &#8216;Stone Soup&#8217; using props. We discussed and thought about what it takes to be a good listener.</p>

We looked at the purpose of the artefacts and the suitability of the materials used to make the different artefacts. We also looked specifically at wool [&hellip;]</p>

<p>In Year 3, we have been enjoying reading Hansel and Gretel by Anthony Browne. We split the story into three parts; the beginning, the middle and the ending. We have discussed in small groups the features of a fairytale and how Browne’s version also includes these conventions. Over this topic, we have developed our skills [&hellip;]</p>
