Meet Our New School Councillors and Eco Squad Members
<p>All St Lawrence’s children were given the opportunity to be selected as either School Councillors or Eco Squad members. After a tight vote, our new members were elected. They are excited about new their roles and are looking forward to doing great things in our school!</p>

Exploring Autumn in Year 1
<p>We had such a great day when Oscar visited us from the ‘Nature Detectives’. We went outside to explore the changes that take place around our school in the season of Autumn. As we explored, we noticed the changes in the trees as well as the different mini beasts living in our school grounds.</p>

Zoolab Visit Year 1
<p>Today we were visited by Rob from Zoolab. Rob brought different types of animals so that we could understand further how to group them into categories e.g. mammals, reptiles, amphibians etc. He also talked about what the animals eat, using the vocabulary carnivore, herbivore and omnivore herbivore omnivore. What an exciting afternoon! </p>

Nurture Group meet the Park Rangers
<p>We went to St. Lawrence’s Park last week to help with spring bulb planting. We met the park rangers who gave us lots of interesting information about the creatures we found and how the spring flowers attract pollinators. Nurture Group Forest School
<p>Last half term, Year 5 Nurture Group went to Scotswood Community Garden to take part in Forest School sessions each week We learnt how to construct dens, how to tree climb safely, how to use sheath knives to whittle and we also cooked up some interesting recipes in the mud kitchen!! .</p>

Spring Bulbs
