<p>KS1 have spent this half term learning and rehearsing the Christmas play, ‘The Little Red Robin.’ Every child had a role, either with lines to learn, a dance to perform and songs to sing. <p>Congratulations to our attendance prize winners. Each winner&#8217;s attendance has been over 98% for the whole autumn term. We have given away bikes, skateboards, games, vouchers and special match day tickets for 13 January! Well done to all of the winners and their families for their excellent attendance.</p>

<p>In Design Technology this week, Year 1 have made some excellent Christmas puppets. We began by learning how fabrics can be joined together using methods such as gluing, stapling and pinning. <p>KS2 Choir and Orchestra have been rehearsing since the end of October to bring some Christmas cheer through music over the festive period. Children in Orchestra have learned to play the glockenspeil, even learning to read standard notation. Choir is bigger than ever this year, with children from Year 3,4, 5 and 6 involved. <p>To further our learning on rocks and fossils, Year 3 visited the Great North Museum. There we saw an amazing selection of rocks and gemstones. This reminded us of our learning of metamorphic rocks and how they are created. We saw dinosaur fossils and thought about how they were created. We even got time to [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Year 6 pupils graduated on Friday after a week long course of activities centered around WWII, The children started the day with a tour of Newcastle University campus before presenting  group talk to their families in the Old Library. The children had studied about WWII heroes Anne Frank, Billy Strachan, Alan Turing and Violette Szabo. [&hellip;]</p>
