<p>Year 2 studied the work of a number of environmental artists and then we went out into our school grounds and found lots of things to make our own environmental art. We made some fabulous pictures.</p>

<p>Our KS2 Orchestra had a wonderful performance on Tuesday afternoon where we celebrated music from the 1980s! We have worked so hard on this concert, with all members reading printed sheet music for the first time! Our audience were captivated and sang along!</p>

<p>Over the last few weeks, the Nursery children have thoroughly enjoyed looking after our caterpillars and watching them transform into butterflies! . They have observed the changes and learned all about the life cycle from an egg to a butterfly. We have read lots of non fiction and fiction books to help us, including &#8216;The [&hellip;]</p>

<p>For the last 3 years, our Key Stage pupils have been having a 45 minute French lesson every week. In these lessons, they learn the vocabulary, grammar and phonics of French. <p>Last week, we were visited by Teatre sans Frontiers- a theatre company that performs plays in other languages. We were amazed as the hall was transformed into a tropical island and some very interesting characters came to greet us! The children had a wonderful time watching the play and joining in in French. We researched Ancient Greet art including the sculpture Discobulus by Myron and the Siren Vase from the British Museum&#8217;s collection, before designing and making our own versions. <p>As a school we were delighted to take part in the first Bishop Bewick Art Exhibition. The event is to help celebrate our key values of being stronger together and greater than the sum of our parts. Each class took part and spent a day working together to produce some fabulous pieces of work for [&hellip;]</p>

<p>The Nursery children had a great time celebrating our new King and Queen. They enjoyed learning about our Royal Family and taking part in lots of &#8216;royal&#8217; activities, including pretending to be the King! They made their own crowns and we had a picnic and played party games. &#8216;God save the King!&#8217;</p>

<p>Reception class welcomed their families into school for a class Lenten liturgical prayer this week. The children shared how they have been trying to grow more like Jesus during Lent.
