<p>We have been using a new piece of technology in school this week &#8211; Now Press Play!Using a set of unique headphones and a iPad with a transmitter, the whole class are able to listen to, act out and take part in an &#8216;experience.&#8217; Year 3 ventured back in time to the Stone Age. <p>In Year 3 this week we have had lots of open discussions about bulllying; what it is, how it happens and why it happens.We joined in with Odd Socks Day on Monday, which was lots of fun!We have designed our own Anti-Bullying Superhero who is always ready to save the day.Finally, we listened to and [&hellip;]</p>

<p>We have enjoyed a busy few weeks in Nursery!  The children have learnt lots of new skills and taken part in a range of activities linked to our &#8216;All about me&#8217; and &#8216;Autumn&#8217; topics. <p>There were smiles and laughter all around when our Nursery and Reception children visited the Northern Stage Theatre to see &#8216;The Three Bears&#8217;!  They watched and listened so well as the story was acted out and they had great fun dancing to the music and joining in with the actions.  What a wonderful day we [&hellip;]</p>

We discussed Warner’s work, where he uses fruit and vegetables to make landscape pictures. We adapted his ideas with our own to make fruit and vegetable art inspired by our local landscapes and landmarks. We really [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Year two enjoyed an exciting visit from Emma from The Laing Art Gallery. This was part of our art work this term about portraits. This time we were looking at the abstract artist; Pablo Picasso. &nbsp; We learnt how to draw facial features in the style of Picasso. We created a portrait in the style [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Year 2 have been learning all about portraits this term in art as part of our work around Ourselves. We enjoyed drawing self portraits in class and portraits of one of our favourite characters; Mr Bear. We visited The Portrait Gallery at the Laing Art Gallery and looked at portraits painted by famous artisits. We [&hellip;]</p>
