<p>Years 5 &amp; 6 learnt vital lifesaving skills to help keep friends and family safe. Sarah, from Mini First Aid, taught us how to deal with situations from minor cuts all the way to helping someone who is unconscious. <p>Year 3 had a wonderful time today at Broxfield farm in Northumberland. It was our first trip since the beginning of the COVID pandemic. We started the day by going on a tractor ride into a field of cows! We then ventured into the fields and saw learnt how a combine harvester cuts the ears [&hellip;]</p>

A tree expands by roughly 2 cm a year, so we worked out that if we measured all around the tree trunk and divided the measurement by 2, we could work out the age of the tree. <p>This week in our weekly nurture group, we have been learning about birds and their life cycle. We learnt how to use a hammer and nails safely to construct our own bird box which will be going up in the school grounds. Hopefully some birds will nest in it over the next few years! &nbsp;</p>

<p>In Science we are looking at Plants! On Monday we each planted our own Sweetpea seed. We need to remember that plants need sunlight and water to grow. We will keep you updated!</p>

We have been learning about reproduction in plants and found out that a flower has both male and female parts.
