<p>Last Term, our Nursery children enjoyed looking at Traditional Tale Stories.  We talked about the different characters and how each story has a beginning, middle and end.   We did lots of exciting activities linked to each story including making up our own characters,  choosing our own ending to the story and tasting yummy gingerbread men.  [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Angellina has always been a fantastic creative writer and she now has recognition for her hard work! She submitted her poem titled &#8216;My Sassy Sloth&#8217; to Young Writers and it was selected for publication in the Peculiar Pets anthology.  Here is Angellina&#8217;s poem and her certificate of merit.  Very well done Angellina!</p>

<p>For World Book Day we read a lovely story called Luna Loves Library, about a little girl who likes to meet her dad at the library to read their favourite story books. We visited our school library and chose our own favourite story books and then we wrote about them.</p>

<p>Key Stage 1 are taking part in a super reading challenge. They have challenged themselves to read 30 books before the Summer holidays. This week a number of children received their first prize for reading the first 10 books. Well done boys and girls!</p>

<p>Year 2 had an exciting day yesterday where they were all given a book &#8216;Passport&#8217; which gave them access to different reading experiences in school. It was a fun day and Year 2 enjoyed reading lots of different books and ticking off their experiences on their passport.</p>

<p>Year 3 have been producing some superb work this week from home! We have been looking at telling the time in maths, different word families in literacy, practising our 2s, 5s, 10s, 3s and 4s times tables and produced some imaginative writing about snowy and icy weather.Well done, Year 3!
