<p>Year 3 had a wonderful time today at Broxfield farm in Northumberland. It was amazing to go back to visit the farm in the summer to see how much it has changed since the Autumn. We started the day by going into the oat fields and even saw the beginning of Mr Thompson’s need batch [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Our KS2 Orchestra had a wonderful performance on Tuesday afternoon where we celebrated music from the 1980s! We have worked so hard on this concert, with all members reading printed sheet music for the first time! Our audience were captivated and sang along!</p>

<p>&nbsp; In our last forest school session for the year, Year 5 Nurture Group brought together many of the skills they have been learning this year: whittling skills, campfire building and campfire lighting. The children are now so skilled that they needed minimal input from Mrs. Villalobos and they independently built a campfire, correctly layering [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Over the last few weeks, the Nursery children have thoroughly enjoyed looking after our caterpillars and watching them transform into butterflies! . They have observed the changes and learned all about the life cycle from an egg to a butterfly. We have read lots of non fiction and fiction books to help us, including &#8216;The [&hellip;]</p>

<p>On Monday 3rd July, KS2 were very lucky to have the author James Harris join them for the day. The day started with an assembly and then Years 3, 4 and 5 took part in a workshop run by James. <p>For the last 3 years, our Key Stage pupils have been having a 45 minute French lesson every week. In these lessons, they learn the vocabulary, grammar and phonics of French. They are highly interactive lessons, with each lesson involving some speaking, some listening, some reading and some writing. The progress the children are making [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Last week, we were visited by Teatre sans Frontiers- a theatre company that performs plays in other languages. We were amazed as the hall was transformed into a tropical island and some very interesting characters came to greet us! The children had a wonderful time watching the play and joining in in French.
