<p>Reception have been learning about seasonal changes this week. They have really enjoyed the story Pumpkin Soup and even made some of their own whilst investigating pumpkins! The story also explores the importance of sharing and taking turns which are both class promises! Well done Reception! Mrs Bickle and Mrs Heide</p>

<p>Year 4 had a fantastic visit to the Laing Art Gallery today to tie in with our &#8216;Autumn&#8217; art topic. We began by looking at the work of the famous north-east engraver and printmaker Thomas Bewick, and sketching leaves from artworks around the gallery. Then we went to the printers&#8217; workshop, where we used a [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Today we practised our right to vote by voting for our School Council Reps. We discussed what it means to live in a democratic society.Congratulations to our winners: Harley and Amelia!</p>

<p>Our Nursery children have enjoyed exploring their new environment.  They have made lots of friends and are settling in well to Nursery life.  What a fantastic start!</p>

The children loved listening to the story and expressed their understanding by creating their own dots using printing and collage skills. The children have created dots in dots in dots&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;. So many dots! We can&#8217;t wait to display our super work [&hellip;]</p>
