<p>Today we enjoyed working in small groups to produce a presentation all about a piece of natural geography in London, the River Thames. We researched using the internet, books and fact sheets and collated our ideas on sugar paper. We then took it in turns in our groups to present our ideas to the class.</p>

<p>Year 2 have been learning all about the changes around us in Autumn. We went on  an Autumn walk around school and gathered colourful leaves. We made leaf rubbing pictures in class. The children made bunting to hang up in their houses and gardens. They also designed VE day menus for a VE celebration meal [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Year 2 have continued to work really hard during their time at home and they have been sending in some lovely photographs. This week we have been reading The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark by Jill Tomlinson. All of our Literacy work this week has been linked to this text and the children [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Well done to Year 2 for their hard work over the past two weeks. Here are some of the activities which the children have been completing; Fabulous Rainbows! Year 2 were asked to make a poster showing a message to their friends. Art work and model making. Literacy and Maths activities History work; finding out [&hellip;]</p>

<p>&nbsp; Year 4 had a fantastic visit to the Woodhorn Colliery Museum as part of our Changing Jobs topic in Humanities. &nbsp; We were able to get dressed as miners&#8230; go crawling around in the tunnels&#8230; and learn about how dangerous it could be to work down the mines. The children had a superb day [&hellip;]</p>

Today we used pastels to create pictures of the great fire, We learnt how to blend the pastels together to make the flames. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; We were really proud of our end products. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; We [&hellip;]</p>

<p>As part of our WW2 topic this term, Year 6 went back in time to find out what it was like to be evacuated from a city to the countryside during the war. We were met by Farmer George and put straight to work, making carrot cookies, putting up the blackout on the windows and [&hellip;]</p>
