Y4 help redesign Hadrian’s Square
<p>Y4 met architect Imogen today, who is completing her project to redesign Hadrian’s Square in Byker as a new Roman Forum. As well as learning all about what an architect does, and how to become one, the children also had a chance to design their own stalls for the forum. </p>

Nursery celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla
<p>The Nursery children had a great time celebrating our new King and Queen. They enjoyed learning about our Royal Family and taking part in lots of ‘royal’ activities, including pretending to be the King! A Volcano Eruption in Year 3!
<p>We mixed baking soda, vinegar and red food colouring to create an active erupting volcano in our classroom today! Although real volcanoes do not contain any of these ingredients, it created a similar effect as pressure built and an eruption occurred!</p>

New additions to the yards

Clay Stone Henge Models in Year 3.
<p>We followed instructions and looked at photographs to create our one model of Stone Henge. We discussed the different features of the structure including the Altar Stone to wonder and explore reasons for building such a structure. We wondered how people during this time were able to carry such heavy stones.</p>
