<p>This week we started our maths topic on Fractions. We started off our learning by using lots of concrete resources to explore how fractions work. We thought about naming fractions, the language of fractions and thinking about fractions of amounts and equivalent fractions.  &nbsp; &nbsp;</p>

<p>A huge well done to Shyheim in Year 5, whose French work was chosen to be published in the magazine Write Away! This magazine celebrates primary children&#8217;s writing in foreign languages. Shyheim wrote about his home, after learning the necessary vocabulary and grammar in his weekly Key Stage 2 French lesson. Shyheim&#8217;s work was chosen [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Year 2 had a fabulous trip to the Shipley Art Gallery this week. This was part of our work on Changing Materials in Science and our Art work on using different types of materials. We looked at all of the fabulous fabric exhibits in the gallery and found out where lots of natural materials came [&hellip;]</p>

<p>We had a fantastic afternoon taking part in another Now Press Play experience. In today’s experience we were a worker in Victorian England. Conditions and pay for workers we so unfair that we decided to go on strike!</p>
